Developed in 1979, this property was once home to a historic hotel, which gave way to the magnificent casino that stands in its place today. Bally's was originally named the "Bally's Park Place Casino & Hotel," though that name was changed to "Bally's Atlantic City" in the early 2000s. The property has seen several renovations over the years, improving the hotel structure itself, adding new games and expanding the casino space, and generally modernizing the look and feel of the establishment.
Unsurprisingly, Bally's is divided into the hotel and casino areas. There are three hotel towers, providing what you might expect from a luxury property: several spacious room types with generous amenities, elegant furniture, and magnificent ocean views. Many guests comment positively on the variety provided in the accommodations, which is only outclassed by the top-tier customer service provided by the establishment. The hotel grounds include an indoor swimming pool and spa, complete with hot tubs and saunas. The property also features a gym, basketball courts, racquetball courts, and an outdoor deck with a grand view of the ocean on the 8th floor.
There are two casino areas at Bally's (Bally's Park Place and the adjacent Wild West Casino) with a combined floor space exceeding 220,000 square feet. These spaces are superbly crafted. Stylish mirrors, brassware, and chandeliers decorate the rooms, which are packed with large sturdy tables for patrons to play a variety of games. Bally's is distinct in the respect that its Wild West Casino is one of few "themed" options available on the East Coast. It was originally designed to mimic a stereotypical "Old West" town, though, some elements have been scaled back to appeal to a more diverse (and younger) clientele.
Speaking of which, the casino features more than 6,000 slot machines and 200 table games along with Keno. Players can enjoy all of the usual casino fare, including Blackjack, Baccarat, Poker, and Roulette, all allowing players to test their luck and skill against one another (and Bally's excellent staff of dealers/attendants). There's also a poker parlor on the 6th floor, providing a little action away from the action, coupled with the Bally's fine dining options, which run the gamut.
Bally's is home to several restaurant options, which they confidently hail as the "best in Atlantic City." The selection includes a Buca Di Beppo, old-school Johnny Rockets, and, for a more "upscale" feel, Guy Fieri's Chophouse. Between the hotel lobby and the Claridge Hotel Tower, there's a food court available for quicker dining options like Walt's Original Primo Pizza and Sack O' Subs.
Those looking to enjoy the nightlife can do so at the nearby bar areas, such as Bally's Beach Bar and the Mountain Bar at the Wild West Casino (among other options). Bally's also supplies live DJ entertainment and local, up-and-coming musical entertainment to round out the atmosphere.
Like any casino worth their salt, Bally's has a well-crafted loyalty program, providing casino bonuses and other rewards. They also offer casino coupons and run special casino promotion codes to provide additional incentive to prospective patrons looking for more reason to frequent the establishment.
